COST CONTROL LEAD



For a SHIPYARD COMPANY with repairing and new building as our business, we are looking for a Cost Control Lead. The main function of the Cost Control Lead will be to control and supervise all cost control activities relating to the cost tracking, forecasting and variances on an on-going project.
COST CONTROL LEAD
Key Responsibilities :


  • Ensure implementation / maintenance of cost tracking module and process that monitors and analyzes budget, commitments, actual cost, forecast cost and cost variances.
  • Assist in establishment of control budget for all projects work from an authorized approved estimate with separate identification of cost elements (labor, material, etc…)
  • Gather and track all actual cost against a control budget and monitor variances utilizing appropriate software.
  • Provide real time cost forecast that will consider actual cost received to date, outstanding commitments and productivity.
  • Oversee reconciliation of actual project charges and reclassification of any internal / external charges.
    Prepare and maintain all cost control record and report.
  • Work together with other related dept. in case any change / revision to the project scope through out project execution.
  • Coordinate, compile and generate annual budget package submitted for approval.
    Responsible for gathering timely and accurate VOWD (Value of Work Done) data from other related dept. (commercial, procurement, Production, …)
  • Responsible for project reporting of overall project cost analysis and control on the project.
    Gather and provide consolidated cost reporting of management project cost and man-hours on a timely basis.
  • Monitor contractor’s productivity and performance (Cost Performance Index) and analyze contractor’s forecast.

Qualification :

  • University Degree major in Finance or Economy
  • Well trained in appropriate program such as SAP and PIMS
  • Male, age 30-40 years old.
  • At least five years experience in the areas of cost control and estimating.
  • Proven background in offshore or shipyard company Computer literate.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office applications, especially Excel and Access and Project Information Management Systems, especially Omega PIMS.
  • Having strong technical competence / knowledge.
  • Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skill
