BUYER (BASED IN BATAM)
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Follow through all Purchase Requisitions raised by requestors
* To ensure timely delivery of parts for production
* Source and negotiate for parts that meet both customer’s specification and cost objectives
* Strive continuously for lower purchase cost and longer credit terms
* Study the full product lines, becoming an expert in product knowledge, seek out new products that will help increase the company’s profitability
* Attend to requests for quotations as assigned promptly by internal users
* Review with suppliers on part quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are taken by suppliers or service providers
Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent background
* Minimum 2 years relevant experience and sourcing/buying in mechanical raw materials in O&G environment
* Strong suppliers database (local and overseas)
* Good knowledge in custom clearance, tax, and banking process
* Bilingual in English and Bahasa Indonesia both oral and written
* Willing to be based in Batam
* Interview will be conducted in Batam

* Monitor all construction activities identify and assist yard management to establish methods to correct any safety, health or environmental issues in accordance with company policy. Conduct HSE Assessment v To develop a working relationship with all line supervision with the aim of obtaining understanding on both sides of yard management requirement, this to include keeping safety equal with production and other responsibilities v To conduct thorough accident investigations and procedure a timely accurate report in the English language. To be capable of following up corrective action following accidents.
* Has HSE background and HSE formal training/courses ¤ 3+ years experience in Heavy Engineering & Fabrication ¤ Understand philosophy and policy regarding occupational health, safety and welfare ¤ To have a sound knowledge of Indonesian Statutory safety requirement ¤ Certificate level training in safety or loss control management from a recognized safety training institute and / or DEPNAKER Certificate as “Ahli K3 (Keselamatan & Kesehatan Kerja)” ¤ Able to conduct independent safety activities such as planned safety inspections and audits, accident investigation and reporting, conduct safety meetings and prepare appropriate minutes and/or records ¤ Must have a Microsoft office application skill ¤ excellent English communication skills, oral and written

Description Of Function :
1. Develop and promote QA/QC culture and awareness at all levels
2. Plan, manage, implement and improve Quality Management System meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 and API Q1
3. Supervise, manage and lead a team of QA/QC staff and subcontractors
4. Manage all QA processes including audits, assessments and reviews
5. Identify non-conformances and follow up with timely corrective actions
6. Develop and control quality procedures such as Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), operating procedures and method statements
7. Ensure compliance with contract QA/QC requirements including verification of bought-out material, inspection and test, material certification and final release
8. Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract QA/QC requirements including review and approval of vendor procedures, plans, qualifications and test certificates
Essential Skills :
1. Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science or related field
2. Previous QA/QC experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Engineering Construction/Fabrication
3. Conversant with international Codes and Standards (ASME,API, DNV etc)
4. Strong managerial ability
5. Able to communicate effectively with globally diverse clients, contractors and suppliers.
Preferred Skills :
1. Qualified Welding Engineer / Welding Inspector
2. Qualifications in Non-Destructive Examination(e.g. PT, UT, EC, RT)
3. Qualified Lead Auditor / Assessor.
