Equipment Design and Automation Engineer – Mechanical

Responsibilities:

  • To design/upgrade and fabricate new or existing assembly and test equipment/tools for current products and new products for high volume manufacturing;
  • Perform mechanical design for assembly and test equipment, tools and jigs.
  • Work with external suppliers on the required measurement systems, modules, parts, components, fabrication, wiring-work, assembly work etc … supplied by external suppliers.
  • Manage complex projects from customer request to delivery (include resources coordination, budget plan and control, schedule and monitor, interfacing with the internal customer etc …..)
  • Support the manufacturing lines on challenging equipment issues.

Requirements:

  • An engineering degree in Engineering or Science with 5 or more years of experience in mechanical equipment/tooling design and automation. Very experienced candidates with Diploma will also be considered.
  • Knowledge in PC based mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic control, PLC based mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic control,
  • Good working knowledge with design software such as Pro-E and Autocad
  • Knowledge in other mechanical design software like SolidWork and Inventor is an advantage.
